Design
The purpose behind asking us to design your garden is that you will end up with a well apportioned space, designed around your wishes so that you can derive maximum enjoyment from your investment.
Not only will your new garden look stunning, it will enable you to enjoy entertaining and relaxing, need less maintenance and will complement your house and more importantly your lifestyle.
Before we visit you for the visit time we will forward some questions that you may wish to consider about who and how you will use your garden. During our first visit we will take a detailed brief from you. We will discuss styles, features, planting, budget and any problems or issues that might arise. It is important that you give this initial meeting some proper time and thought, as this provides us with the foundation on how your new garden will be designed and constructed. This stage is not for us to just ‘pop round’ and see your garden to give you a few ideas and a detailed price. We want to hear about you and what you want and how we can best help you. After the initial meeting concept plans will be drawn up for you to agree. After which full detailed plans are produced to enable a landscaper to construct your new garden.

Many clients find the science of horticulture confusing and often don’t know what type or kind of plants to buy or grow in their garden. We provide a fully comprehensive planting service that can provide you with a planting plan to follow or more commonly we can plant your garden for you. In addition we can source all the plants, shrubs and trees in your planting plan at discount prices. Naturally, you will want your new garden to look it’s best at all times and we can help you achieve this by providing full maintenance instructions which are very easy to follow and implement - even if you don’t have green fingers!

JH Garden Design can construct your new garden as well as design it. Unlike many other landscapers and garden design practices we don’t have expensive in house contractors and landscapers to employ. Instead we have formed good working relations with a number of highly qualified landscaping teams who work to the highest possible standards. Please be assured that we always monitor the construction of your new garden so you won’t be left baffled by tradesman talking jargon to you, trying to push up the cost of your project.

Landscapers, like most tradesmen are better at some skills than others. We know what teams are good at what skills (and not so good!) and having designed your garden we will approach the most appropriate teams to tender for your work.
